What a Summer! It's so hard to believe how fast this year is flying by! It's been a very busy season for us here- lots of bikes and cars moving all over the world. Our beloved 57 Bel Air is headed to good home in France, the sweetheart Chevelle SS came and went, and we've seen a lot of our favorite bikes go out the door! I've taken in a few more cars- a touch more modern, but with their own flair, as well as a few bikes that we are enjoying. I should have them up on the site soon! Wedding planning is taking over right now, so we'll be fairly tied up until mid October. Monday was a blast! The Whitesboro Area Chamber of Commerce did an excellent job putting on their 2010 Golf Tournament. Pops and I teamed up with Landmark Bank for a great day of golf at Stone Creek Country Club. Huge thanks to Jeff and Jerry for inviting us! We had a great time!

Summer is here! If you don't believe me, just step outside! We've managed to send off an excellent Harley with a great couple from Australia, An old Ford to Russia, and a Porsche to the Northeast. We even sold my old supermoto race bike. She will be sorely missed. The enduro season is going great with one more race until he halfway mark. I'm mid pack in the season standings so far, but I did manage to bring home a 3rd place trophy from our race in Nacogdoches!
On a more personal note, my trip to Colorado a few weekends ago was quite eventful- I got down on my knee and proposed to my lady, Candice! If you've been around long, you've met her. She's been putting up with my riff raff for 8 years now, so I figured she's a keeper! Needless to say, we're excited!

No more rain please! It should only be allowed on Tuesdays- that way it cleans the roads and settles the dust for some good rides and drives on the weekend! As you can imagine, we are enjoying the new hours a great deal. ALL the bikes are being ridden more, and the cars are getting their exercise as well, which makes every one of these machines much happier.
We're in the middle of Spring cleaning around here, trying to freshen up the inventory and overall appearance of the SMC Compound. If something has caught your eye, call us! If you have a trade, bring it over here! And if you have a motorcycle or something unique you'd like to sell, don't forget we are buyers!

New hours, new layout, and new toys! Change or die is what they say, so that's what we do! After this last season, we've decided that our east building was our most user friendly building, so I'm steadily developing it in to an excellent motorcycle showroom and sales office. We've got all the bikes in and looking great, and I'm currently getting the walls looking right! I've had a good time tracking down old photographs, posters, trophies, and decor for this room. It's turning into a high energy, very entertaining showroom. It has also given me the chance to establish a control center for our operations here, which is VERY helpful!
In the process, we've changed our hours. Our new hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 9 to 4, and I'll be doing some Saturdays. If it's a nice day and I'm in town, we'll open up for a while. I'd also like to start doing some "open house" type events where we get everything in full bloom and invite everyone out. Keep an eye on this page to know when they're coming up! And just because we're not open doesn't mean we're not working! email me at jstone@stonemotorcompany.com or call us at 903-891-1400 and we'll take care of you! With so much business being over the phone and online, we're trying to stay in touch with our customers around the globe. We'll still be glad to do showings after hours and on weekends, just by appointment so we can better serve our buyers and enjoy this nice weather!
Now for the fun part- NEW TOYS! Check out the motorcycles page for our new Ninja 650R, Raptor 700R, and Wolverine 450! On the cars page, we've finally listed our Jaguar XJ8 and Maserati. Give them a look and take one home! I've also picked up a Sherco 290 trials bike, but I'm not ready to list it yet- too much fun!

It's Car Show Season! We're so glad to see the sun coming back out some more! We've had some great weekend weather, and finally had an opportunity to get out riding and cruising! The S&S Car Show was a great time for the entire family. Thanks to everyone who came out, and S&S definitely a good job putting on the event! Looking forward to next year!
I spoke with the Texoma Vintage & Classic Car Club this week, and their 21st Annual Show is set for Saturday May 15, at Denison High School. Entry fliers can be downloaded at:

Stone Motor Company is proud to announce our involvement in the upcoming S&S Car Show! The show is on Saturday, March 6th, 2010 at the S&S Elementary School in Southmayd, Texas from 10 am to 3 pm. Cars, bikes, and trucks of all kinds welcome!
Stone Motor Company will be raffling off $50 per hour to the ENTRANTS ONLY! That means 6 entrants will actually make money!
It is a fundraising event, so get generous! We're trying to raise money for the Senior Scholarship at S&S. It's a great cause, and promises to be a great time! Don't be bashful, enter your car, truck, or bike today! This will be a fun event to attend for all the gearheads and families alike. Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Don't let the rain get you down, the weekend's coming! If there's anything I've learned, it's that there's a great deal of truth to the statement "If you don't like the weather in Texas, wait a few minutes!" We've been staying busy here shuffling things around and finishing up a few deals. Thankfully, we got some sunshine yesterday, so I got to get pictures of our newest cars, as well as make a video for one! Take a look at our newest acquisitions on our "Cruise our Cars" page- some great GMC's and a sweetheart hot rod! We also now have a YouTube page that I will steadily add to! Take a look at our first video for the 1922 Ford hot rod appropriately named "Old Yeller":

Hello All, it's been a while! It seems as though Stone Motor Company has been in a constant state of change, and there's good reason- it's true! We firmly believe that the only constant in life is change, and that our ability to adapt to that change is what makes each of us as individuals stronger. As a company, we've encountered a great amount of growth and success, which we are truly thankful for. At the same time, we've encountered the rough patches that every company will face. I'd like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for your support over the last years, and invite you to see how we've adapted to the growth and change for 2010!
We have a multiple showroom format coming together for 2010 that will feature a great stage for all our cars and motorcycles to be seen and appreciated. We're still moving things around and putting the final touches on things for the 2010 season, but we assure you we're ready to strike some deals! One of the biggest changes we've made is the expansion of our Parts & Accessories department. We've moved it all to our original location just west of us at the intersection of FM 901 and US Hwy 82. Brian, the oldest of the Stone sons, has taken the reigns and it is now Fun Wheels 82. He's got a great store full of parts, gear, tires, and accessories, as well as golf carts and accessories!
I myself have returned from a year and a half living in Colorado to be closer to my family. With the number of nieces and nephews at 10 and rising, "Uncle J" is back in full force! We've been blessed as a family, and I'm proud to step in to my role!
During my time in Colorado, I jumped head first in to the motorcycle world. I was privileged enough to work with the top Ducati dealer in North America where I learned all about Ducatis, Triumphs, Aprilias, Moto Guzzis, Piaggios, and even Vespas! At the same time, I managed to win a Novice Class Championship in the Supermoto 5280 series, rack up some track days on my Ducati Hypermotard, and melt down my chicken strips on some of the most amazing mountain roads in the United States. It was a great time, and I've come home with a book full of stories! I'm glad to be home, and looking forward to sharing what I've learned!
Thank you to all those who've welcomed me back with open arms, I'm excited to tackle 2010! On behalf of Pops, Brian, and Myself- Smile, Enjoy, and let's make 2010 a prosperous and happy year!

Toys for Tots Cruise. ---- SUCCESS!
Saturday, December 6th, we had our annual Toys for Tots Cruise.
We sat out to try and fill a "Toy Hauler" travel trailer with toys, and with Your Help, we pretty well did it! I am PLEASED to anounce we gathered up approximatly $2,500.00 worth of toys.
